GOG.com: D&D Bundle

Not to schill for GoG.com overly much (though they are a great site, have awesome sales, and have supported this community directly for our 10th anniversary events), but thought everyone should know that GoG.com is offering a tremendous package for the next 19 hours.

10 D&D games, $1.99 each. The complete D&D set, pretty much:

BALDUR'S GATE: THE ORIGINAL SAGA

BALDUR'S GATE 2 COMPLETE

PLANESCAPE: TORMENT

NEVERWINTER NIGHTS: DIAMOND EDITION

NEVERWINTER NIGHTS 2: COMPLETE

ICEWIND DALE COMPLETE

ICEWIND DALE 2 COMPLETE

TEMPLE OF ELEMENTAL EVIL, THE

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: DRAGONSHARD

FORGOTTEN REALMS: DEMON STONE

Total cost: $21.10.

What a bargain! I already own multiple copies of most of these (not sure about Icewind Dale 2 Complete, now that I think about it...). And of course, you can't ever have too many copies of NWN.

GoG is awesome but i gotta give 1 warning:

I have the Diamond edition of NWN (nwn1+nwn2 and all their exps), and once i install the game it is a bit "damadged" in terms of which files are there.

Like a lot of colors and art is missing, and is an overall known issue - so once u do get the GoG version of NWN, be sure to download and install the official 1.69 Critical Rebuild patch for your Neverwinter (depending on what expansions you install).

Actually, according to GOG's policy, one copy is all you can buy from them. At least, that's all you can buy for yourself without creating duplicate accounts to purchase more.

BTW, I like GOG and am very happy GOG sells NWN. And, I like that GOG let's a customer know if he has previously purchased a game. But, I really wish GOG would let us buy a game more than once.

Demonstone and Dragonshard are garbage (except for Patrick Stewart's voiceovers, of course). but any 3 of the remaining titles are worth the price. This is a awesome deal.

Actually, you can gift them to yourself at an alternate email address.

I have done this in the past. But, that is essentially creating a duplicate account since GOG account creation is pretty much just the email address (and a password). I would rather GOG just let me purchase the game again outright, rather than have to track which email address I have used to buy a game, if I need to request tech support, to re-download the game, request a CD key, etc. Not really a big deal, but I have never understood why there is any need to nanny buyers that way.

I really hate this new forum format. Is there a way to edit/delete messed up posts that I just haven't found?

In any event... what I was TRYING to say before I hit my CTRL key... all you need the secondary email for is receiving your multi-player cdkey.ini file. You can do everything else through your main account. You can gift yourself a copy of NWN and never once log in to the secondary account that GoG set up for the purchase.
