Cloak visual files?
« on: June 02, 2014, 06:17:13 am »

I have both Macintosh version and Windows version of NWN. Recently, I have copied various files and folders (override, hak, erf, textures, .ini files, etc.) from Mac to Windows for using the same settings.

It seems that by doing this I have corrupted something related to cloaks. Now all the cloaks in shops and PC inventry are shown as blank whilte squares. And cloaks are not shown on models even though "Visible Cloaks=1" in nwnplayer.ini file.

Does somebody know which file or files are related to the visual of cloaks? Can I somehow restore it?

cloaks are somewhat complicated.

did you copy the cloakmodel.2da as well?

cloaks as most models are defined by a mesh (mdl), a texture (plt) and an inventory icon (another plt, name starts with icloak).

the models textures and icons can be freely mixed and matched however, which is done with the cloakmodel.2da.

so i would guess you copied all the custom models and textures, but forgot the cloakmodel.2da, which tells the game what to do and how to put them all together
