community mods online?
« on: December 02, 2012, 04:32:16 pm »

               I have an idea/question.

It would be cool to have a maybe mod of the month thing, where somone puts a community made mod on line so people could get together and go threw it.

I dont like going threw by myself personally.

anyway if this is already been done just point me.'<img'>

I might be interested in providing hosting for that - is there a system in place to have the community select what module will be run? We could lock it down to 'one party' and cap it at 6 players to ensure a smallish party only - maybe start with the G series and move on from there?

Be well. Game on.

Yeah thats what I was thinking let people pick the time they would like to go threw the mod of the month. Also could have a free time schedule, say if that time isnt taken anyone can hop on.

So all we(community) need to decide is the mod to use and where to post here (bioware forums) maybe call it  Module of the Month .

I think the only thing would be give people a character save widget in the mod so wouldnt need the autosave set in the nwnplayer.ini file.

I dont care who hosts personally ,Im sure there is a bunch of us with a free server around.

I think this would be away for everyone to get to see the effort people have put in to their prujects.

I was already reviewing some of the available versions of the G series wtih an eye toward integrating them with my own PW module - doing this would add features like fly, jump, climb, swim, etc to the module we host. We have these systems fully developed so converting a module is pretty straight-forward. If this is appealing to you do let me know - I host at a secure datacenter with fat internet connections and redundancy in spades.

Be well . Game on.
