Thank you, WhiZard! The undead I were fighting did have true sight, so that was my problem there.
WebShaman, like I said I'm pretty new to this ability, so I can't say for certain. I think the reason I was being attacked was because the enemies had true sight, since nothing I did made them leave my character alone. I'm not sure if there was any difference pre-1.69.
This comment is in reference to vanilla v1.69, but I've always noticed that after casting Invisibility, even among non-true seers in a mob there is a distance where they continue to chase. Then once an adequate spacing is reached they stop and can be approached within touch range. The advantage of using invisibility (or sanctuary) over stealth is that this "spacing" is easier to reach than with stealth with the reduced speed in effect. I'm only guessing, mind you, but It seems like it is related to OnPerception somehow. Or maybe it is targeting by the monster AI. Maybe both. Maybe neither. Dunno.
Perhaps one of our vets can explain what the working dynamic is on the hidden recognition as far as the game is concerned, not to be exploited, just understood.
