NWN default portraits
« on: March 11, 2011, 09:56:57 am »

Anyone got a link where I could DL these? I really wanna use some of the default portraits of NWN1 in NWN2, but I really don't want to be arsed to re-install the game just for that. Even google was of no use.

Try this. Although they have been shrinked...

               NPC Portraits & NPC Soundset

If anyone knows any better, let me know. I'm adding those to my list. (N°45)

NWN2 requires 128x128, so they're too small '<img'>

That only contains the 2da's, not the actual portraits '<img'>

If you want to use NWN1 portraits, you can use a simple photo editor like Irfanview and easily resize them to whatever size, and format, you need for NWN2.  The same process can be used to make your own custom portraits for NWN1 using artwork you find and like from other sources.

Thats quite problem, NWN1 portraits are twice as taller... I dont think its possible to convert them into 128x128 "nicely"....

This is a tad off-topic, but this is an opportunity to mention the ingame portrait editor :innocent:

Drop any jpeg image into your NWN portraits folder, launch the game, and run the following console command:

"Convertportrait
mypic" - where "mypic" is the name of your jpeg image (without the file extension).

This will create tga versions of your jpeg image in all 5 portrait sizes.

Ofc it is, you just have to use crop to take a nice 1:1 area of the portrait and shrink it.

My favorite place to get portraits for RPGs is deviantart, and here's an example turned to 128x128.

Did your google turn up this one?  Actually read all the description details before you decide to pass it over.

No didn't see that one, all the portrait packs I found were just additional portraits.

Cool that's exactly what I needed, there aren't that many great portraits in NWN1, but the few good ones are really good.
