Dunno if there are still legal issues, but today, GOG.com is offering now the NWN Diamond series digitally. It ain't dang sure in a box, but it also ain't dang sure $50, either. $9.99, DRM free and modified to run on the latest operating systems, GOG is probably one of the only digital distributors I'd consider buying games from as these are the games that are now extremely hard to come by. I do like my retail boxes, and the fact that I have physical media to store my games on, but -- GOG is the place to get legal, legitimate copies of games without the DRM and I am sure that I can burn those to disc and save them that way.

God, I sound like a commercial. How'd that happen? I guess it's because I believe in what they're doing. I can't sell something I don't personally believe in.

To kick off this announcement, GOG and the NeverWinter Citadel Project are sponsoring a pair of NWN contests. See the thread that announces that for details. It's pretty much at the top of the page right now.

Enjoy; now you can digitally acquire NWN Diamond edition. If I recall rightly, that includes Witch's Wake, Kingmaker and both Expansions. Oh yeah (I just looked at my box copy of the Diamond edition) and Shadowguard.

Wouldn't it be nice if it also came with the patching up to 1.69? I don't know about that.

best regards,
dunniteowl

Is there more info available on this?
Does it simply refer to 1.69 update? Or maybe a new nwconfig.exe that can actually read 64 bit registries?

Whenever possible, GOG releases games with the latest patch. NWN is no exception.

               Hey this is great news.

Also, what about Rouge the Rogue?  Did I just make a funny, or fall on my sword?

Yesterday, GOG asked me to annouce their contest on these boards:

http://social.biowar...9/index/5111952

I saw this thread last night and it was quite funny to know I would be posting the contest today.

For those seeking info on GOG products, you should go to their website: www.gog.com

There isn't one yet.  GOG.com has two more D&D games to release and Baldur's Gate II and IceWind Dale II are guaranteed to be the other two.  It could be as late as Christmas that they release them but I highly doubt it given how soon they released NWN.  So, within two to four weeks presumably.  Tuesdays and Thursdays are their release days usually, but NWN was released on a Wednesday, IIRC, so it's worthwhile to keep checking if they haven't released a new game that week.

They could pad it out quite a while if they wanted by releasing other games but my spider-sense says sooner rather than later.

GOG released NWN Diamond edition a few days ago.

Had the usual fight with Compatibility mode and Run as Admin but I'm
enjoying the Campaign again.  In my mind 'the' best of the Neverwinter
games.
