I think more people use some Forum Sections more than others, obviously the Original Campaign Section are NOT going to be as popular as some other topics, because not a lot of new players are comming in, like when the game was first released, or when other cool stuff was released...

With that, I suggest that maybe our host (the forum Admins) rearrange the Forum Sections so that the most popular Section show up first, what do you think?

(Saves a lot of scrolling, believe me, cause I generally only use scripting or custom content)

This Forum Section obviously would remain first, it's always been popular..

I completely disagree with this idea. Time to keep tradition and leave them as close to the way they were on the Bio-boards.

Well, in light of my suggestion SHOVA...

It would mainly move Scripting / Custom Content & PW - Servers Online up below this forum section.

Which for the most part are the 4 main forum sections (which includes this forum section)

This is an interesting statement (and attitude).

I mean... what's the point of all the new scripting and modeling?  To entertain a dwindling community you seem to have been resigned to accept, or rather, to interest and entice new players?  Designers pretty much depend on "new blood" to justify their efforts, no?

I would be hard-pressed to commit (as a designer) quality time to an extensive project if it was only to enhance media-mechanics of a static or diminishing community. But that's just me.

With all that said,  perhaps you are right.  This may be the last vestige for all the veterans and scripters and may be better having it sculpted for their use.  I just hope that isn't the case.

i don't see the merit of a sub-forum if it doesn't generate at least 100 threads.  just combine with the other forums so that we don't have to jump around all the time from forum to forum.  the community is smaller now.  we can all fit in one small cozy room now.

Though there are still a lot of players out there, speaking for myself, I cannot see a reason to continue building big server modules anymore, it's a very daunting and exhaustive task to build an online module, while offline single player adventure modules aren't as hard, server modules are a behemoth of a task.  You have to have a great reason to take on a challenge that big, at least, that's how I see it..

Personally, I'm not expecting to see a lot of major stuff in the future, in fact, I'm expecting to see nwn slowly decay into nothingness, eventually.  Despite the fact that it's a great game, it's graphcis & coding are far behind in technology, therefore those with better computers are going to move on to better games, plain and simple..

Despite the facts, and BTW you can't even buy the game in many stores now, therefore don't fret, the game IS out of style, and many players have moved on to newer & more attractive games today. (DAO to name one)

Now that NWN is no longer supported by bioware, we have to look at the game for what it is, it's a legacy game with still a rather sizely fan base, but it's nothing more than that now, old new, old game, old topic...

This is a fact..  ( I dare say we could probably get away with just 5 or 6 Sections)

General Discussion
Building (All Things Related to including Scripting & Toolset)
Modules - Offline & Server
Custom Content
Guilds & Registry
& 1 Voted For Section...

I would like to just be able to click "Neverwinter Nights 1" so I can be taken to a seperate page that just has NWN 1 stuff on it...that way I can add it to my bookmarks, instead of the whole dang Bioware game community all jumbled in one forum, and me having to scroll all the way down to find the darn NWN forum...

I mean, it only makes sense right? At least have "sections." That's all I'm saying.

Yes exactly, I have the same myself. That is already possible.
The only thing I miss, beside the people are those ugly flashy green buttons from our past saying, yelling:"Hey, there is something new here!"... and in your own personal "My Topics" section, which I miss as well very much thank you.
I still haven't understood how that "subscribe" idea works here... I don't see a difference if I do subscribe or not, neither can I see well enough the "stickies", that shy and tiny little blue horn in some corner, not very sexy, isn't it?, and the active, now burning without light, threads.
Another thing I miss, the dates. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out when something was written.
And that, is very annoying to me, if it's not for most of the people.
It's like if you didn't know when the constitution for your own country was written. Not only exagereting here... just a bit, for the salt.
Let say the whole thing is not very appealing, kind of cold, tech, in one word not sexy. As a matter of fact, it's not sexy at all! And that, my friend matters to me above any possible reconciliation.
I don't have it "on" when I open this forum anymore... It's hard.
How can you possibly fall for a woman if she is perfect. Cold. That's probably the reasons why women aren't perfect at all. Look at yours, and I'll keep looking at mine in the meantime.
Ladies, show us the only true world.
