I am almost certain I have seen this issue reported before, but I am unable to find it via search at the moment.

I am running a LAN game with the module (MTS1 The Mines of Twin Summit) on my computer and the other player joins the local LAN game with her toon. On my screen I can see her walking from place to place normally. But, on her screen, the toon doesn't change position. She can see my character move normally, but her character is just "running in place". If she actually clicks on an NPC, then she sees her toon running in place until she gets there and her toon's position is updated so that she "jumps" to the NPC and the conversation opens. She can also get her screen to update by using one of the emotes, but it won't be practical to do that for combat.

Also, she cannot see her portrait. I can see it, both on my party list and when I examine her character. But, on her screen, her portrait box is empty (black), both in the upper right corner and when she opens the character sheet. I don't know if that is related to the movement issue, but it might be. The portrait is one of the default NWN half-orc females (po_or_f_01).

Oddly, this only seems to happen in MTS1. We have tested in a trainer module and things seem to work fine for her there. But, I thought I had read at some point that this has to do with a setting or a port or something. I have not made any changes to the module and I have made sure that my override has only the Bioware default files. Oh, and we are both running NWN Diamond, fully patched to 1.69.

Any ideas?

Solved it. She had on a cape that was apparently causing trouble.
