Gaming mouse buttons issue

               So I've recently bought a Corsair Vengeance M65 Gaming Mouse, have mapped it just like i want to have it in Neverwinter Nights, but in game, it doesn't respond to any of the extra buttons except the normal the right/left click and scroll wheel. I have also tried setting the buttons in the game control options aswell, but when trying to assign the keys it doesn't respon to those buttons as if they do not exist. The mouse works perfectly in other instances and the buttons are not defective.

Is there a compatibility issue between gaming mice or is there some issue that i may have overlooked?
Help would be greatly appreciated.

               Have you tried holding ctrl and/or alt down while pushing them.
I think I experimented a while back with my Razer Naga mouse - and it needed ctrl shift or alt held for the button presses to be directed to the hotbar.
