How to use NWN through a proxy?
« on: September 01, 2012, 09:07:59 pm »

Hey, I just wanted to know how to play NWN through a proxy server. I tried using proxifier, but it doesn't work '<img'>. Does anyone know a proxy program that would work, or know how to get proxifer to work?

Back in college, I used a proxy called Your Freedom to play NWN without being blocked by the campus firewall. At the time, there was a small monthly fee to have uncapped speeds. Dunno about now. It didn't require special setup on NWN's end. You just had to change the network settings for the computer itself.
Dunno if this will help. :/

Hm... I wasn't able to get it to work properly :/
what do you mean by changing the network settings of the computer itself?

In your LAN settings, you can choose to route everything through a proxy. IIRC, I had to switch this option on and off in order to use the proxy with NWN.
