Game will not work after installing 1.69 HotU

               I have been reading a bunch of the forums over the past couple days and have installed, uninstalled and re-installed atleast 12 times.

So here is the problem i am having and some things i have tried to do to fix it.

I followed the forums here on installing on windows 7.  I installed all the games then the critical rebuild 1.69.  changed setting for compatability mode and administrator. Game begins to act like it is loading but does nothing. I figured i might have done something wrong so uninstalled and installed again same problem.

On my third attempt i installed the base game, downloaded and installed the 1.69 update for the base game (Downloaded from link on these forums).  Started the game, game loaded fine and was able to start campaign.  Figured okay and loaded the expansions and ran the game and again everything loaded fine and started expansion 2 campaign.  I noticed that the version was showing as 1.59.  So i redownloaded the 1.69 update for hotu expansion from the link on these forums.  Installed it and ended up with my original problem.

I read some more of the forums and verified i had the most recent version of my video drivers, turned off catalyst and downloaded and installed the directx 9 version.

I would really love to play this game campaign and with friends online again.  Any help would be appreciated.  below is the specs of my computer.

This appears to be the original version of NWN plus the 2 expansions. Correct?

If so, did you use try patching 3 times using 3 different CRs... once for the NWN CD, one for NWN+SoU and finally the one for NWN+SoU+HotU?  I realize this may sound crazy, but I recall this question coming up on the legacy boards, where the final solution was to apply all 3 of them in succession.  Whether it was a problem on Win7 or Vista I don't remember but the procedure was very specific.   Now, for Diamond it isn't necessary because v1.66 is furnished by default so only a single CR is needed.

Also, did you try disabling sound yet?

Actually, DirectX 10 should work as well as version 9 (in case you need a higher one for other apps).  IIRC it is version 11 that can cause problems running NWN.

               Yes it is the original CD's.

I tried it two different way. Installed game then cr for base, SoU then cr for Sou, HotU and Cr. Then tried installing game and expansions and then all three CR in order.  Two no prevail, then attempted the below with the results.

After each install i tried the game:
Load base game = Works
Install Base Cr = no longer works
Install SoU on top = game works again
Install SoU CR = Stopped Working
Install HotU = Game Worked again
Install HotU CR = stopped working again

Something about my computer does not like the CR's

I have come across a set of Platinum Cd's i bought my wife. All the disc no book or cd Code. I am assuming my original cd codes will not work with these disc,

*Update*
Okay so i was able to use the cd codes.  I installed the game from the platinum cd's (version 1.63) Game would not load before or after installing CR 1.69

               Try the Catalyst driver version 11.04. That one is reported to work well with NWN on Linux and Windows boxes. Older ones like yours can work, but may not, all newer ATi/AMD graphics drivers have some issues with the OpenGL implementation that tends to crash NWN sooner or later.
