(solved) Access Violation 007cd421n
« on: March 15, 2012, 09:00:29 pm »

                This is the BF

So all of a sudden (actually,  at exactly 4:39pm on March 4th) something happened to our install of NwN1

While we could load a module into the toolset, we could neither play it (app would hang) nor could we create a new area (including the new module wizard) without running into access violation 007cd421 in nwntoolset.exe.

This also happened with NwNTx.

Reading the post in the Omnibus (Thanks, OTR) didn't give us a whole lot to go on other than the need for a clean install.

So I did that and the CR.
Worked fine.
Copied back in all my custom stuff. Violation.

Hmmm.

Clean install/CR.
Add in folder at a time... Problem was in Data.

Really. Hmmm.
Wait...
Is XP2_tiles.bif supposed to be 0 bytes?!
Hmmm Updated March 4th...

Still trying to figure out what changed on March 4th, but at least I know the problem came down to a single corrupted file in the data directory.

Good thing I'm OCD about back-ups, eh?
