               That resolution is all black. Also 1600 x 900 doesn't even fill my 16:9 screen. Darn crappy drivers pissin me off.

I'm using the 285.36 beta drivers right now.

Windows 7 64 bit
Gtx 570

               It's a Panasonic TV. It works with everything else at 1920 x 1080 @ 60hz.

               Well, just telling me the make "Panasonic" and not the model isn't helping me to help you.
Also the fact that it is a television is also particular, so let me know the model like, right now
my LCD Monitor is a (Make: Samsung | Model: SyncMaster 205BW)

               Yea, sorry I had to rush off and I couldn't find my TV manual to see the Model No.

You don't have to be so mean about it though.

               Erm, I wasn't being mean btw.

I can't see why you would have a problem with it because of drivers though I just noticed you're
using "Beta" drivers... why?

The other thing is, how are you connecting to it?
* PC Connection (DSub-15 pin)
OR
*HDMI

               DVI -> HDMI

Using beta drivers because of the Nvidia slow down bug with robes and what not. I was getting this black screen at 1920 x 1080 on my non beta driver so I figured I might as well upgrade and see what happens. Turns out that fix I think was already in the driver I had and I still have the black screen problem.

The reason I assume it is a driver issue is because on the Nvidia forum about the slow down bug someone else mentioned the same problem I have after he updated to the driver that fixes the slow down. Nvidia admitted it no longer intends to support older games. Lots of people whined enough to get them to work on NWN but I think they half assed it.

Do you use a GTX personally? Does 1920 x 1080 work for you? Trying to find someone who has a GTX and 1920 x 1080 works for them so I can find out what driver they use.

Thanks for your help Lord Sullivan.

               No I don't have a GTX 5xx, I have a 9800 GT on one of my systems, but that is irrelevant to your
issue as anyone with a GTX 5xx or GTX 4xx would have to have your TV model to confirm the issue.

Have you or can you test the "1920x1080" Resolution on a PC LCD Monitor that is capable of that resolution? if yes, are also getting a black screen? If you don't have a proper Monitor to test it, take
your system to a computer store and ask a sales person or a tech to connect your PC to a monitor
capable of 1080p to see if the same happens.

This way you'll have a hint that it may be your television that have the issue or your (GPU or Drivers).

*Update*: It looks like it might possibly be an past driver issue that creeped back up in the drivers.

               There are many other resolutions to try. Some probably work better than others.

Personally I think 1920 x 1080 is too high for NWN....

I run at 1900 x 1080
It all depends on your monitor

I was on a Lexsor 27inch lcd tv - using it for PS3 and PC.

It couldnt handle anything over 1024 x 768 through vga, and hdmi / dvi looked funny - lots of overscan, and wavey text.

Now im on an Acer 3d Vision LCD 120 hz 1080 hd Monitor - and everything looks way better in it. (DVI and HDMI)
The videos in this thread - (The ones capable of playing at 1080) - were recorded while playing at 1900 x 1080

The only downside, is that the toolbar/slots look smaller, and macro text doesnt display entirely on the labels.

Everything else is Fantasic.

Yes, thats what I meant....and if you want to drag something from the left side of your spellbook to the right side its like a mile away...

Other than that it looks crisp as hell. Probably the best resolution....the monitor (Samsung 27" LED) seems made for it. Every other resolution look a little to a lot smeared out....probably cause of the auto-adjustment. Odd though...ols screens didn't have that effect...

Anyway...I don't even use 1920 x 1080 in windows...cause i think it makes everything too small...one must find good resolutions that are below that and not too smeared out....
