Noob Question
« on: February 18, 2011, 02:18:12 am »

I've been trying to install a very basic mod (archmage prestige class, found here: nwvault.ign.com/View.php), and while I've been able to add it to custom campaigns, I haven't been able to add it to the original campaign. Juding by the fact that it works in custom campaigns, I'm pretty sure I installed it correctly, so I was wondering if something else might be going on.

(Before anyone asks, I converted a copy of the OC .nwm files to .mod form, placed the erf, hak, and tlk files in their respective folders, added the hak and tlk files under custom content, and imported the erf.)

Anyway, anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Did you check for any conflicts in the campaigns when you installed the components?

Did you rename your final modified mod or just keep the standard name?  If you keep the standard name, you'll end up loading the default .nwm version instead of your modified .mod version.

Bingo! Yeah, that was it. I knew I had to be missing something. Thanks for the help, and thanks to both of you for such quick responses.

Also, remember to make sure you save a copy of the original nwm mod with a different name, or in another folder, or you'll overwrite it.
