               I'm trying to edit a save game to change the owner of a multiplayer PC character in the OC (with PRC).  I'm using Leto.

This would be the preferable, easier option.  I suppose the much less preferred option would be to create a new character, somehow extract the journal off of player 1 and append it to player 2, then GiveXP so that they're "caught up."  The journal part being the difficult step.

Would much rather just edit the owner.

               Additional information:  As a test, I tried changing..."Player 1's" owner.  (The only player that was shown in the save .bic).  I changed the 'Mod_commntyName' value to reflect the new owner.  It didn't work.  Obviously that problem is twofold...I can't even SEE the 2nd player in the save file...and if/when I do find it I'm not even positive changing the mod_commntyname string is going to do anything.

               Nevermind.  I fixed this by renaming the chapter's .sav to .mod, then editing it with Leto.  Editing the module.ifo, then going to the character and changing the player name.  Saving the modified module.ifo, then importing it back into the chapter's .mod by changing the name (again) to .hak, using nwhak to import, then finally saving then renaming from .hak back to the original .sav.



Leaving this here in case someone ever has the same problem.



I'm only curious why the module.ifo ended up being nearly twice the size as the original having only edited a name.  Weird.  Oh well.  It works and that's all I care about.
