DMing

I have a few DM questions.  I created a module and am DMing it for two friends.

1) I want to be able to move their characters from module to module to limit the size of the module.  Is that possible?

2) How do I save their characters to my local machine and make them avaiable in the new module?

3) How many areas can you have in one module?   I heard it can be a problem if you have too many.

Thanks for your help in advance.

1, yes, but so complicated that it really isn't worth doing. Your better off just loading a new hosted mod. Tell your players to take a quick break, get a pop, empty the bedpan, while you load a new mod.
2, use NWNserver, (in your nwn file) to host the mods. when the player logs in, they will have their characters. The characters will be in your server vault file, under their login names.
3. depending on the machine, 300+ seems to be stable for most folks. Some have made over 700 areas, and have stable mods with multiple players. I have run mods as high as 600 areas , for my sons and me, and not had a problem.
Good luck!

Thanks Shova, I had planned to just load a new module, but I'm concerned about if their characters will be available.  I checked my servervault folder and don't see the names of their characters.  I guess I need to do some testing.

your server vault should be available to any mod you host, as long as the players login, is the same. In fact, due to recent master server authentication removal, anyone can log in to anyone else's server vault character as long as the right login is used. See the work around for details on how to set up to avoid this. In the general section.
