Custom Item portraits
« on: June 06, 2011, 05:26:10 am »

               Hello. I am new here.

I recently picked up NvN after years of not playing. Now I want to take the game one step further and make my own module for it.
For the module, I need to know specifically how to make custom item portraits.
Any tutorials or suggestions? I've already learned how to make custom character portraits, but there's nothing for items.

That's custom content you should ask over there.

Yeap like Axe said, your in the wrong forum, but I am nice today and will give you the answear anyway. it involve keeping an eye on baseitems.2da and making new .tga icons.

you need to look in baseitems.2da to see what nameing system and scan ranges that is defined for the baseitem you want to add images to; so the game will try to find your new images. ie all icons for a certain baseitems will be numbered <baseitemtypename>001 to <Baseitemtypename><Maxrange>.

if your number go outside the maxrange it will not showup neither will it if you name it incorrectly. beyond that it's one of the easiest CC tasks you can do.
