Using Portrait Packs
« on: October 06, 2010, 01:56:23 am »

Okay so I d/l'd a pack from the Vault and put the files in my override file and VOILA! nothing happened. I want to use the portraits for myself but they don't show up. I've tried 3 different ones out of curiosity. Am I putting them in the wrong place? And how hard is it to convert them to hak and use them? I'm open to any and all suggestions if for nothing more than general information. Thanks! '<img'>

Try decompressing them into your NWN/portraits directory.  If you don't have one, just add one yourself.  This should allow you to use the portraits for your own characters.

Hak isn't too difficult, but then you have to be sure to edit your a copy of the portraits.2da file and include it in the hak, and make sure all of the players of your module also download that same hak file.

I appreciate the info and on another note I use your GUI's and icons, very nice flavor. Thanks for your contributions. And no, for some reason I did not have a portraits folder *shrugs* Go figure!
