Pirates of the Sword Coast lighthouse riddle.

So, I want to take on the gnome in the lighthouse as a crewmember.

 

I have to solve some sort of riddle with some arrows and some coloured lights. It might be me, but I simply do not understand what it is I have to do. It's like someone is speaking arabic to me, it just doesn't make any sense.

 

If anyone could explain what it is I have to do, it'll be apperciated. A lot.

You have to make all the coloured lights around the outside white.

I think it is easier if you start with the corners first.

If the light in the top left hand corner is RED, Then in the top left hand square put a BLUE arrow pointing towards the corner & the red light will turn purple.

Then diagonally behind the BLUE arrow, put a GREEN arrow facing the same corner & it will turn WHITE.

 

Then move on to the next corner. If it is say CYAN (green & blue) then just point a RED arrow at it & it will turn WHITE.

 

It doesn't matter if the arrow is 2 or 3 squares away as long as it points to the light you want to change.

 

You may run out of  squares where you need them, in which case you just have to reset them & start again (I forget how you do that, but there is probably a lever )

 

The starting colours are random, if your lucky you will get a lot of cyan, yellow & purple lights to start with. (only needing 1 arrow to turn them white)

Or better still, a few white ones.

Ah, the infamous Lighthouse Puzzle.

 

You must place coloured arrows on the stone tiles to cause the pillar of light to turn white.

 

The idea is to make all the coloured pillars white by using a combination of coloured arrows to do so.

 

A red pillar needs a blue and green arrow to turn it white.

A green pillar needs a red and blue arrow to turn it white.

A blue pillar needs a green and red arrow to turn it white.

 

When you come across a coloured pillar that is a mixture of colours, you just need one arrow to turn it white.

 

Yellow needs a blue arrow to turn it white.

Purple needs a green arrow to turn it white.

Cyan needs a red arrow to turn it white.
