The Rise of A LegendThe war started with the Great Revolution, a terrible civil war between the men of Devron and colonists from Faerün that happened between 1390 and 1394. Four factions arose: The Lowland, the southern portion of Devron, Midland, near the Thanatos Forest, Highland, near the northern mountains and the colonists from the Northern Angle. Midland and Highland became tired of the rules the Northern Angle imposed them, and started a revolution against their masters.Lowland, however, sided with the faerünian cities. Four years of a terrible and bloody war ensued. In the end, the Northern Angle was defeated and thrown out of Devron and back to Faerün. Midland and it's king, Frederick, The First, started yet another war with Lowland, as punishment for her betrayal. Weakened greatly by the Revolution, Lowland didn't take long to fall. In 1398, midlanders crossed the Belt River and destroyed New Lüskan, Lowland's capital. With Lowland under its control, Midland turned into the greatest power in Devron. Sixty years later, under orders from King Percyval, troops from Midland proved their lust for power being even greater, as they started a war with their Highlander neighbours.For forty years the armies fought in a terrible war.
