The Mystic Journey - Kingdoms at War

If I had to say how much of Kingdoms at War was finished, I'd say around 30% of it was finished. At least 50% of the world has been made and connected to each other already. Most NPCs are finished and the war system is 80% complete. At the moment, the highest level you can reach without playing for hours on end is LV 16. In my test run, I managed to bag around 4 hours of game play (although the tester who has no idea where treasure is may get around 6 hours of gameplay). As of 02/02/2011 - the level cap we are aiming for is LV 40. However, you'll be able to get past this level if you make use of the re-spawning enemies system.Quests have yet to be implemented into Kingdoms at War but we already have a few ideas on what sort of quests will be in the game. Unlike various RP games of today, nearly every quest will have some background.

Our goal with Kingdoms at War is to make a NWN mod that is like no other NWN mod. It will be unique. When I tested the module, I felt free. I didn't feel like my character had to save the world or anything. I felt like my character was free to do what he wanted to do. Throughout the 4 hours that I had played the module for, I was always having fun. There was not one moment where I was bored or annoyed by a feature because for one moment you are roaming throughout a mountain region, then at the next moment, you have stumbled into a war camp full of hostile enemies and loot. Fun and freedom is what we are aiming for and that's what we have achieved with Kingdoms at War. Kingdoms at War isn't scared to implement features that make for a unique gaming experience. If you want to get the main plot done (which doesn't become known to you unless you accept a certain quest from a certain Ranger), you can do that. If you don't want to explore the world fully, you can do that and you can also get chariots to one place or the other. However, if you want to explore the world, you can do that and if you want to do everything in the mod, you can do that. There will be low level enemies and high level enemies, there will be breathtaking battles and breathtaking scenery.

Expect to see Kingdoms at War later on in February.
