NWHak.exe modification?
« on: March 17, 2014, 06:42:17 pm »

Wondering if, after all these years, someone has modified nwhak.exe to enable dragging files out to export them.  We can drag files into the window to add them to a hak, but currently have to right click, then pick export, then browse for the target folder...and every time I export I have to browse again for the target folder.

So, has anyone seen a modification like this for this old utility?  I may have easily missed it over the years, or maybe there just hasn't been enough community requests for such a feature.

I find it simple enough to either Unpack them all then drag and drop.

Or simply select the files I want by holding down the shift key and then exporting them.

Sure, it's simple enough, but sometimes one doesn't want to go through three (or more) steps to get just a few files extracted to a specific folder. I didnt even knew you can drag&drop add file.

Anyway, what would be perfect is the ability to add more than 2k files at once, i dont know what the actual limit is, but there is.

You can use Tanita's NWN2Packer: http://nwvault.ign.c...ols.detail&id=9

It works with NWN1 (just make sure to check the v1.0 box.) The main drawback is that you can't edit the hak info (like description) but can always do that with nwhak then.
