Having trouble take down the Fire Giant King...any tips?

               As the title said this BIG GUY is absolutely owning me and my Hench Linu, whom I have had with me the entire OC. If anyone has any tips I would appreciate it...meanwhile I am heading back to try again...

               First off, let's get a few issues cleared up, eh?

Are you referring to King Skrogg?  There's also a another one, a fire champion IIRC before entering Klauth's Lair.

What is your class split at the moment?  (I'm guessing you are somewhere in the 14-16 level range right now.)

               Aye it was King Skrogg *hummn I thought it was Krogg. Anyway I guess I never should have posted because I ended up kiting him until he got stuck on a wall then I pulled out my bow and finished him off....Poor Linu, she died getting him stuck on the wall but as usual she was waiting for me back at the temple '>

My character I think is a bit low in level for where I am at because I just kind of rushed through not doing any side quests, well maybe a few, anyway he is a Rogue level 8 with one level of Cleric and one of Bard. Don't ask me why I took those single levels of the other classes cause I don't really use those abilities much at all....

               Yup. A rogue using ice arrows should have no problems with any of the fire giants.  And if he/she can set traps... doesn't even need to wake up Linu.  Just let her take a nap.  10 is quite low, the class mix far from useful, but still, a decent trapper rules in the OC.

Didn't really want to start a new topic so I will post my thoughts on the last battle here...The Morag(sp?) battle was perhaps the most difficult battle I have ever encountered. I thought the battles through the war zone were tough and that one against the half dragon Balor in that tiny courtyard seemed difficult at the time, but then I finally made it to Morag and OMG!

Took me a while to figure out that I had to take down her "praying protectors" first, and I never was able to take them all down, but finally I could damage Morag and after that she fell pretty fast....but the dragons, the minions, her chosen, etc, etc....gave me a ton of trouble and then the ending was basically the worst I think I have ever seen....but she died and I won...heh '>

Oh and my persuade was high enough, I guess, to convince Aribeth to give herself up to Nasher, which I felt was the only redeeming quality about the ending.

THe part that bothered me the most about the end was how Nasher seemed like he had already given up and that anything I did, even when I recovered the last word of power, was a waste of time. I actually saved and then started shooting him with my ICE arrows just to see if I could put him out of his whinning sorry state....but no effect...damn it I should a been able to kill the guy for what he did to Fenthic! ANd mostly for being such a whiner!
