Looking for a server!

I've been looking around for a server to play on, and stumbled across some drawbacks and things that put me down during the search. So, I figured I make a...

 

Why I didn't bother to visit your server, post! 

 

Now, keep in mind that I'am currently impatient and a bit tired. Normally I would give it more time, and this is my personal reflection. I am perfectly sure that I -would- have a good time on many of the servers I just clicked-goodbye!

 

1. No gallery - I would like to see how the server looks like. With no gallery, I can't. Goodbye!

2. Dead links. Yeah, I clicked on your link to the website - but there was an error or no site to be found. Goodbye!

3. Painful registration... like, you MUST read all this and apply and pick a god and a color and... no, goodbye!

4. Gallery, a group of naked girls bathing togheter... normally I don't mind, but It just gives -me- the wrong impression about the server.

5. Zero players... well, I can't be alone and this is a bummer. Goodbye!

6. A Gallery! With Sreenshots from Vanilla NWN. Naah, 10 years later I expect it to look better. 

7. A Gallery 2! But this time with really ugly areas - How much time did you invest on THAT area YOU decided should be on the gallery? Nah, goodbye!

 

I am even too impatient to complete this list, so here we go.

 

Now, I'm looking for a server. I really like Forgotten Realms, but I'm used to custom settings aswell. I like roleplay, character development, low-medium fantasy, low-medium magic. Not so much into planar. Normal fantasy towards dark and gritty! '>

               Hmm not entirely sure you would be willing to check out a brand new server that will launch somewhere in February but am working on a buffy server. We are quite far with its progression and with a small playerbase waiting for it to actually launch.

If you don't mind low level/magic/loot setting, and prefer FR, Easting Reach is still on, with quite busy EU and NA evenings. We are in the middle of transitioning our forum to more reliable provider, http://eastingreach....rg.uk/index.php,due to freeforum's increased downtime. New forums are up and running, but not all content is migrated from the old one. Server is up 24/7 and, barred resets, always available, with new additions each 7-10 days. Several days ago we added another 30 areas in one go, with several new dungeons.

Kalbaern: I remember checking out The Savage Frontier long ago. I remember it being a stable and solid place. I checked it out now again, and it yet seems solid. The drawback for me is the outdated tilesets and areas. You have some newer tilesets in there, but when I walked around in Loudwater it felt like vanilla NWN. Maybe I can't have those demands nowadays, but I want it to feel fresh. Otherwise, TSF looks like a good place to lurk! '>

Thanks for the input. "Loudwater" was unfortunately created using CEP 2.2 through 2.4. I'm not happy with it either '>. Well, not so much unhappy as I just know it could look better with a newer tileset. As you know with your own project ... time to make such changes is often lacking. Converting various override compilations has helped facelift many of the Bioware/CEP areas in the meantime. We also have a current revamp in progress to replace many "regions" with Zwerks tilesets.

 

I saw your post asking for scripting assistance as well. While I don't have tons of free time for separate projects, I'd happily share some of our unique adaptions for our various systems, including loot, xp and how we create "random" and "themed" scaled spawns in many areas.
