Cormanthor is a year-old Roleplay world set in the Forgotten Realms setting, focusing on the region of the Cormanthor (duh!) and the Dalelands that surround it. We are seeking new players, builders and dungeon masters to join our community!
We are open and actively partial to PC ambitions - whether the aspirations are small, such as opening a shop or a tavern, to loftier goals - in the vein of starting a mercenary company, founding a guild or even obtaining the governance of a town or keep - we're open to any and all ideas that might make the world more interesting; all you need to do is get in touch with a Dungeon Master. Although we encourage this sort of player-driven world, our DMs are preparing to launch several server-spanning campaigns that include new and old players alike.
The server is low-to-medium magic in tone, and is capped at level 20 - epic levels are not available. Progression is generally slower than most servers, with grouping encouraged for most dungeons. The geography of the server spans Mistledale, Battledale, Featherdale, and the Cormanthor itself - expanding with the intention to include the Ruins of Myth Drannor as a vast, deadly adventuring hub.
Cormanthor is custom-content heavy, including many changes to existing classes and new prestige classes made "in-house" added periodically - as well as spells and feats. The full list of changes and additions (a manual of sorts) is readily available on the forum. In any case, we always welcome and often implement suggestions for additions and changes from players.
