Searching!

               Allo!

I'm currently in search of a PW that I can get into easily. Friendly players that would be willing to RP with me, without cliques or immaturity. Preferrably with adult content, but only so that there aren't limits to what can go on in the story (so I'd be okay with Social or Roleplay categorized PWs). I'd like to play with adults but I'm not looking for mindless cyber sex. And if sex does happen, it's between characters and NOT players. I am not my character, and neither are you, so don't blur the line, please.

Sorry, ranting! Anyway, I'd prefer a place with a lot of activity, or if there isn't much, then at least a few people who'd be willing to include a new player such as myself into their world, and actually play with me. I've been playing NWN since I was eleven, and am now and adult (20) and I'd prefer to play with other adults. My hours waver, I am on MST in Canada, but I am also a night owl, so I hope there will be folk about to play with!

Also, I would appreciate a place without any bigotry/prejudice, a place that accepts all kinds of players and characters, beliefs/backround-wise. IE, no homophobia, racism, sexism, or other -isms, or elitist snobs for that matter. That'd be awesome.

Hi there. I don't know what kind of mechanics you're looking for, but in terms of adult RP, I enjoy The Way Inn quite a bit. The leveling's slow, and there's a heavy RP focus. Have a look at the website/forum and see if it might be something you'd enjoy. '<img'> We're always looking for new players.

There's been some lengthy discussion on TWI's various caps and monster systems on the forum, so here's a link to that as well.

Feel free to send me any questions you may have if you don't want to ask in this thread itself.

Thank you! I'm looking into it right now. I'm less combat oriented, so slow levelling or levelling based on RP is what I'm into. '<img'>

Just for some random statistics to indicate possible levelling rates on The Way Inn; a couple of players and myself were comparing roughly year old characters and how they'd got on (yuss, I am that sad).

Two were at level 6 and one at level 5 with roughly 40-50 "expeditions" each.
Others had made level 3 with less than a dozen expeditions (although recent changes have meant that these slowest levelling characters will now level a little quicker than that due to "RP XP").

So while its a great place for adventure with a ridiculously large and rich module, it also caters for those who prefer a steadier pace of levelling or whose characters are a bit discerning about how and when they risk their lives. Plus, those characters, although levelling more slowly than their peers, have not become totally detached from other characters that were created at around the same time, due to the level cap system.

I've not really found another place that allows tortoises and hares to continue to rub shoulders like that through their characters evolution - so it might appeal to you. I do, however, reserve the right for some gentle In Character prejudice though! Although its not commonplace. '<img'>

Thanks for the info! Still looking for more places to go along with it, if anyone has suggestions!

Sinfar (sinfar.proboards.com) is what you are looking for ... A Social-RP world with andult contents and lots of friendly and open minded players.

"Social-RP " mean that theres no forced RP, you aren't put into mindless intimate roleplay for example. You choose the way that you want to roleplay your character and who you want to roleplay with.

I have tried Sinfar, but so far I did not find the players to be very friendly, or much interested in my character. But perhaps you can prove me wrong? '<img'>

Catch me in game, i will help you to get started.

Im sure also that most player will do the same if they aren't in a roleplay.

For your character, i would suggest that you describe it as much as you can in the description with a background. Theres so many different characters on Sinfar, that it is important that you help people know what your character is, before roleplaying it.

Erm, alrighty, will give that a try, thanks. I tend to be more of a fan of roleplaying to find out things in IC context rather than gaining much knowledge OOC to influence IC. Anyone else?

Never played on this server, but, I'd imagine just like in any other "real world" environment, a stranger saunters in and nobody knows him so nobody seeks to start a conversation.

Maybe make the first move yourself and see who opens up.

I have, several times. '<img'> That's pretty much the nature of PWs, yes?

Try out Avlis.  Its a "play how you want to play" type of server.  Mostly adults, very RP oriented.  http://www.avlis.org

I've played there for over a year now, they welcome new players with open arms.

Look for Elutian, be glad to show you around.
