Reference to original question
« on: June 07, 2012, 06:39:36 pm »

I have cleared that up now. The original question was:

"I am trying to make an altar that works sort-of like the machine in
Drogan's house. The one that you put in a crystal and 1 Quartz and it
makes a Focus Crystal. I am trying to make an Altar that has a similar
effect - you put one of the sacred "Dryad Stone"s on it with a basic
weapon, and it gives it certain bonus properties. I would quite like it
if you can add other stuff to determine what it gets (e.g. if you put in
1 Dryad Stone, 1 Greataxe +3, 1 Potion of Cure Serious Wounds, 1
Resurection Scroll & 1 *anyitem*+1, to make a "Greataxe +5" that can
cast Cure Serious Wounds and Resurection 1 time each, and also gets 1
bonus due to the Dryad Stone).

I will look into what the scripting they actually used for the focus crystal machine was, but please tell me the following:

Were does the script go?
Advice on how to script it.

I
might mention now I am a complete noob at scripting and use "Lilac
Soul's NWN Script Generator" when ever possible, and my version is NWN1
v1.69."

This is easily dealt with if you have completed the Shadows of Undertide campaign or at least are at the interlude, as you can just load up the actual thing and look through the script they used.

Take a look at Scarface's Socket Items. It is very well done and is well documented. also in the .erf are a ton of already made 'gems' to imbue weapons and armor.

((and nothing wrong with Lilac Soul's tool. Can get a lot of code done in a very short amount of time!))

Edit: forgot the link
