As the only thing I could have come up with for this month's challenge would have been a 'lost' poster and I have made them before (and I've been busy elsewhere...), I have decided against it. However, just in case someone else would like to make it, I made a mock-up in word. I then did a screen grab, trimmed it to size and saved it as a gif (to make it as small as possible) image.

BTW, the "----------------------" separates the front from the back.

I had a small accident and hurt my wrist. I'm unable to finish the models. I'll send in what I have by Sunday: 4 skyboxes, an empty tileset and 17 of the largest planets & moons of our solar system. They are still missing animations though and the textures need a bit of polish.

I'll try to finish them in a couple of months or so.

Predator_Stuff.jpg

As I have said  before, the predator model that I have used don't includes weapons. So I have made, by myself, some of their more iconic weaponry and other stuff:

  • Wrist Blades: As kama models, left and right hand versions.

  • Combi-Stick (extended): As spear model.

  • Yautja's Scimitar: As an scimitar model obviously.

  • Smart Disk: As a throwing-axe model.

  • Dart Gun: As a light xbow model.

  • Human trophys: As torch models.

I have used as reference the "D20 modern manual - Predator cazador de trofeos". Which can be freely download here:

Reality has jumped up and down on me hideously, so I've got heaps of half-finished War of the Worlds stuff sitting in pieces being completely useless. I'll finish them one day - along with that Mini-Tileset I'm STILL poking at from time to time for the Nautilus Interior to match my Nautilus model from however long ago the Sea Stuff CCC was... Still, you'll have the Tripod, plus the rubbish UFOs and stupidly unrealistic Rocketship for this month.

I've assembled those lumpily and posted them in.

PS:- The Predator Creatures I mentioned I was doing - on the PHoD ALIEN thread, I think, last year, or longer, ago, are more or less done, five different ones if I recall, but I don't think I got round to sorting out the danglymesh dreadlocks properly - if I recall. I gave up on them a bit when I concluded DEMONESS vs ALIEN vs PREDATOR was just a bit too over the top. Even for me. Although, then again... Maybe I'll dig them up some day, if anyone's interested in having multiple different Predator characters.

(And don't forget, there's a Predator spaceship - which I converted from Sierra's AvP2 game - already available in my rubbish Futuristic Things pile of stuff on the Vault. Even if I never do get round to releasing my Predators, it gives Shem's example something to travel round in in style.

Thanks guys. I've uploaded what I have mode so far: https://drive.google...bTVOQXhLQURQQms

  • Some space skyboxes - I did the best I could to make the seamless even at the bottom and top.

  • Solar system planets & moons

  • Empty tileset - basically just one type of terrain without geometry and a walkmesh at 0 height.

I still have some unfinished textures for additional planets laying around and the animations are missing. I'll get to it in a couple of weeks.

Hmm, that's weird. My old links aren't working properly either anymore. Oh well, I changed it to a google drive link. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for that. Even that proved tricky. I only found how to download it by accident. For those that haven't worked it out, move your pointer towards the top of the screen. At some point in its journey a dark bar will descend. On that bar there is a downward facing arrow (Works similar to pdf documents in your browser). Click that arrow to download. God I hate fashion - what was wrong with a simple download link. Message to google - Stop overcomplicating things just for the sake of "style".

Sounds like a sidequest.
