Custom Content Challenge: January 2016: Ruinous Intent

A while ago I was in the need for some broken windows and old shutters for some abandoned houses. I'll convert some of those windows to placeables.

Base in the screen is the wood frame of zlc_a15 (CEP-model - by Ice-Child). The wood texture will be a TNO-1.69-texture.

(BTW: I played a bit with the Rendersuite for Gmax and the screen above is the result.)

@TheOneBlackRider Have you still got the installer for rendersuite? The original link on turbosquid is broken and it might be nice to have it on the vault.

That is why I hate tag based searching. I looked for what it was called on TurboSquid - RenderSuite. <much gnashing of teeth, fangs etc.>

Thanks.

I'm putting in my request for Ssythilac to release his ruin tileset.

He's such a good builder that he can make tilesets look like brand new ones nobody has seen before, but most of the tilesets in his screenshots are already released ones. I think I recognize several of Bioware and DLA's tilesets, Sen's Underdark and/or Myth Drannor tileset, Maxam's Versatile Dungeon, Lord of Worms Fantasy Interior and an expansion of the Bioware mines tileset I made. I have no idea where he found all those placeables he uses though.

Hiyaa!

Yes, is exactly as Zwerkules said. The module Project of Myth Drannor is plenty of custom content (a veeery big hak), but almost everything of it (except a bunch of placeables I personally made for the module) is already released in the NW Vault. I only retexture tilesets to make them homogeneus and the same time to add variety to fix my personal visión of the legendary ruins of Myth Drannor.

Nearly all the tilesets Zwerkules mentioned are in the module, with light modifications.

By the way, thanks for the compliment, Zwerk! '<img'> I promise before the Old and Ancient Gods that someday in the near future I will finish and relèase the module... Sadly, now I am infernally busy writing the end of my doctoral thesis.

Alright, here's a screen of my results:

02_bro10.jpg

All but the 2nd from the right have environmental reflections on the glass part.

The 6th and 7th from the left have a TNO window stone frame (scaled down).

I like the way Shadooow is thinking there. Is it possible to have a destroyed state on a placeable persist as a ruined appearance?

No, I don't believe the placeable would stick around, but you could use the on/off animation states - "on = destroyed and "off" = whole.

WoW your right Zwerkules. http://social.biowar.../1329736/291762

I really love your work Ssythilac. Looking at your work makes me think about  what more I could do. Thanks for helping me see what more can be done with NWN.

This community is full of really talented people. All of you have really managed to transform NWN and continue to keep taking it to the next level. As long as this community has people like you all I don't think this game will ever die.
