Somewhat desperate please for 3dsmax 5 and mdl_suite users?

               I have 5 max scene files that were created using 3dsmax5 AND the mdl_suite set of tools.  Unfortunately mdl_suite will not work on versions of 3dsmax newer than version 5, so I can't use the mdl_suite with max 8 ,9,or 15.  

Does anyone out there still have 3dsmax 5 installed?  If you do, would you be willing to temporarily install the mdl suite of tools to export these 5 door models and pwks for me?  

Gmax will not work as it will not load a .max scene file.
3dsmax above version 5 won't work due to versioning issues built into the mdl suite of tools, they give errors and refuse to load.

i always used 3dmax5 just because of mdl suite '<img'> which i love

I sincerely appreciate the help with this!  I also hope I am not wasting your and my time attempting to save something that may not be useable.  But, we won't know for sure until we try at least.


 


Thank you also Sen, but Killmonger replied first, so I wish to give him the first attempt anyway?  I have no way of getting mdl suite to work, and since I can't gmax to run under windows 8.1,. I will never likely see what those tools offer that are different from NWmax, which is what I have always used along with Veltools anyway.


 


These are just supposed to be some tileset specific doors, but I have no idea if they were ever finished or not, working from old source materials you always run into the chance to find things that are not useable anyway.  Note that I do NOT have the textures referenced as missing, at least not by the names that I am seeing referenced when i attempt to open these.  However, I can't cross check until I have working mdls to check with.

Thanks to Killmonger, I now have files that I can work from.  Still very buggy, but at least I can open them to edit now, which was the biggest issue.


 


I truly love that this community is still willing to help out and pitch in when other folks run into issues.  Thanks for the Help and other offers of help!
