Ground Fog: A Murky Request
« on: July 30, 2014, 12:17:43 am »

I've just discovered a placeable nugget in CEP; I'm not sure how I missed it before.  The appearance of -- Floor: Mist 4x4 (MCK)*  It makes a very nice ground fog (non-animated) except it vanishes when the PC steps above it, and changes hue whenever the PC walks over slight elevation changes.  A couple of questions.  Is this a graphics card problem or is this just how the placeable functions within the confines of the game engine?  Are there any other ground fog solutions that can be use to cover a whole area--possible a large area?  Okay, I'm hoping someone has done a ground fog tilemagic hak..   '^_^'

Any ideas?

I found something that gives good results.  '<img'>

Edit: The 1x1 and 4x4 fogs found in the package referenced in the above topic still have the strange hue change when the PC walks over something that slightly changes their elevation.  They look great, save for that.

(mck) is one of two of the coolest mist around, regadless of its tricky use. I use it for areas to create wild magic zones when i can do it. I also discovered its also sensitive to area lighting or fog tints. im curious how it was created

in regards to mist:  'Ravenloft: Prisoners of the mist'  server have mist that is quite dynamic. Having played around with it, I discovered its dynamic (or reacts) to wind, spells, and players actions. As when you walk through it, it parts ways like a cloud. so amazing!
