Danglymesh on weapons?
« on: July 12, 2014, 12:51:50 am »

This is probably a stupid question, but can weapons have flex values for their meshes?

If they can, it would be pretty cool to hang a pennant from a spear or lance.

Maybe The Amethyst Dragon can answer that because he made mops. Those are probably weapons and use dangly meshes. I'm pretty sure it is possible.

I never did get flex mesh to work on those mops.

I tried it with another weapon one time (actually, a spear).  If I recall correctly, it wasn't pretty.  The combat animations are so fast that I had difficulty keeping the piece from just stretching and distorting very badly.  Granted, I'm not very experienced using the flex modifier, so it still might be possible for it to look good, it just didn't for me.
