               Just popped into my head that one of you might have fun trying to make this work.

What about a scourge of fangs? That is, an animated whip with snakes and snake heads instead of the leather parts.

               I am unsure.. Are animations in an unused state for a weapon possible? Like, a writhing snake whip while you're not cracking it at people? If so, that'd be pretty cool!

               The whip has a whole bunch of animations, and I think they relate directly to the PC animations (they have the same names).

They're all pretty short in duration, but you wouldn't need many frames just to get moving snakes.

Maybe someone will take you up on this idea.  I ain't touching it. '<img'>  

Although, if it turns out really nice, I might use it in my PW, where the drow are not followers of a spider goddess, but of a god of snakes (and murder, poison, corruption, etc.).

               Didn't someone just do a skin-meshed whip a few months back?  That'd likely be the best starting point for something like this.

               I just haven't gotten around to releasing the "unusual weapons" part of Project Reforged.  I actually got rid of the skinmesh (default whips have one) because it was a pain in the posterior and didn't really improve the look.

When I get time to do up all the screenshots and such, I will be releasing that.  It's the 7th of 8 parts for the project.

               Well, I have a growing interest with skinmeshed models recently, because of my working with tails. Well, that is when the skinmeshed models don't cause constant errors for 3dsmax. *Shakes fist.* But I can't get around to it right now, if nobody picks it up anytime soon, I may eventually get to it. Snakes in general are pretty smexy, so a snake whip that looks like that would be fantastic. If anyone wants to, go ahead!                Dusty, what's the problem you're having with skin meshes in 3ds Max?  Is it the skin modifier unregistering itself (I hate that one) or something else?
