CC Problem.
« on: March 13, 2011, 02:35:14 pm »

I posted this originally in the help section, and on Lightfoot's suggestion I'm reposting it here. (tl;dr at the bottom of the post) So:

Alrighty, I think I should be posting this here.
I've installed the CEP, and I've downloaded the CC from:
http://nwvault.ign.c....Detail&id=1435
I'm
doing this because I'd like to play as a brownie. But, the problem is
that every time I get to the 'Packages' stage, I'll click on it, then
'Configure packages' and the skill screen pops up. So far so good. But
then, no matter what I do, the 'OK' button does not work, it will not
continue onto the next stage so I can select feats.
Anybody know how to fix this?

EDIT:
Oh, and if I choose one of the already-created packages, the
'finalising data' pop-up won't disappear. I can ignore it and move onto
the next stage, customising. For customising, the screen where you come
up with your name won't disappear. If I close that manually after
clicking 'ok', and have it create it, I do seem to get a workable
character, but of course I can't choose skills of feats. This is all
very weird.

EDIT2: I can only go through all of that if I'm
playing a non-spellcaster. If I'm playing a spellcaster, then I get
stuck at the skill screen as normal, and if I select an already-cretaed
package, then the 'selecting spells' popup won't disappear, and I can't
click on the 'customise' button.

EDIT3: Ok, actually it might be
I only have these problems if I'm a sorcerer... wizard and fighter work
fine. Hmm, I'll do more testing. This is one weird bug.

EDIT4:
Ok, the only classes affected are sorcerer and cleric. As long as I
don't select them, things work, even using custom races. Problem is,
sorcerer is my favourite class, and the one I want to play as. Is this a
known bug? Are there any fixes for this?  o.O

tl;dr: the sorcerer and cleric classes don't seem to work in the CC, they get stuck at the 'ok' button on the skills window (after clicking packages, and then configure packages). i.e, the 'ok' button doesn't work. Choosing an already-created package simply means that it takes forever to choose spells. For other classes, everything seems to work fine.
Halp?

Bump. Because I still need help. '<img'>
On another note, I have a found a partial way round it.
I create the character, but select a different class, e.g. wizard. I create the character how I want, and then use Leto to edit it to sorcerer. Unfortunately, its not a perfect fix because I can't select any spells until I level up to a second level of sorcerer, but ho hum.

Triple post. Has nobody got an answer?
Anyway, I've found a sort-of solution that is far from perfect. I create a character in the CC, selecting the wizard class, and then use Leto to edit it to a sorcerer. Unfortunately, this means I don't get any of the sorcerer spells, and lose whatever wizard ones I select, so I can't cast any spells at first level. (But when I level up next, and select sorcerer, I can choose sorcerer spells as normal.)

I don't think its a problem with the CEP, because when I select ANY race, and don't even point it at the cep hakpaks, it still suffers from this problem. The CEP is just there so I can play as a brownie. Nonetheless, I'll probably create a thread where you suggested '<img'>
