Druid + Animal Companio + Sumon + Henchman = Too Crowded
« on: August 02, 2016, 01:41:20 pm »

So as the title sugests I was going for a mass sumons campaign with Sharwyn buffing us all (me in wild shape form) BUT it becomes hard to even walk around in Bear form with my animal companion + sumon. A lot of times my henchman and the sumons get stuck in doors or don't even attack an enemy because of the litle space the game has.

I wonder if there is a way to make my sumons + animal companion smaller or make them lose colison with me and themselves. If there was a mod to make "ranged" animal companions that too would be good.

Thanks

Size set at appearance.2da.

Am thinking u want all bear stats cept size mod but diffrent appearance on wildshape and pet?  That not part of OC and no one care to change OC like u want.  Only range pet is mage eyeball but no druid pet have range.

Try 2 panther or 2 wolf cuz they med apperance.  Panther +4 AC over bear and get sneak dmg & evade.

Think how bad dragon shape play in dungun. '<img'>   So bad will get stuck every door.  Bear much smaller.

So far I came to the conclusion that to do what I wan ti Need:

1º Create a new creature with the stats of a bear but with different size.

2º Create a new script that just like sumon animal companion but that points to this "modified bear" instead

3º Modify the sumon animal companion so that it uses the new script.

Because I think if I just change the appearance of the bear/summoned creatures it will change the appearance of other monster in the game that use the same model.

If anyone could point to me if I'm in the right direction would be a big help. Also, I don't know where to find the file that contains the scripts.

Summon Animal script is normally hardcoded, you would need nwncx_patch plugin to be able to modify it.

But there is easy fix for your issue, you just need to apply CutsceneGhost effect on your pets and summons. If you want to do it in already running single player campain, you need to create script in toolset in any module, compile it and then put it from temp0 to override folder and then use console and run that script from game.

Shadooow

I'm trying to do what you said but I just can't figure it out. Keep in mid that I now nothing about how to use the tools.

I opened the tools and created the script (I think), but when I close it the script file and the whole Temp0 folder disappear. So I copied it (both script files, it created 2 with the same name 1 .nss and 1.ncs) to my override folder before closing the tools and thats that.

After it I tryied opening it with the console but I have no idea how to run the script from inside the game. Could you lend me some help please.

big thanks to you Shadooow and AndrueD, it works perfctly. A mass summons run is something I wanted to do but couldn't because of the location sizes. '<img'>

And... It's gone. So for some reason I tested yesterday and it all went well, the script worked and when I called it via console there was a sound and some animation showing that the target was now ghosteffected. But today I started my real druid char from level 1 and even though I can use the script and shows sucess in the screen the sound the animaltion are not there animore and the script does not work. I have no idea why.
