Missing Area Transitions
« on: October 25, 2011, 03:34:05 pm »

I have a problem with the 1.69 Castle Exterior rural and Sea caves tilesets. The cliff cave entrances and the sea cave exits are all coming up with 'The selected model doesn't exist" when I try to modify them. Which 2da has got screwed up?. I have CEP 2.4 and some of my own haks installed.

Nothing got screwed up. If I recall, this is an issue in a stock 1.69 module as well as it was posted on the legacy forum before. Something to do with how the model itself was made and a particular entry being incorrect for that model in the tile.

FP!

Doors require TWO entries to be adjusted correctly.  One is in doortypes.2da and the other is in the respective tileset.SET file for that particular door.  If either are different/wrong whatever, you get issues.  Note that some tilesets can use doors from other tilesets by just using the reference to that door's doortype.2da line.  But if the tileset for that particular group/feature is not set correctly, you can get some errors too.

Also note that stacking doesn't always work the way we are told it works.  It is rare, but sometimes folks on different computers, loading the exact same files (loading the same SP mod with haks) will have issues.  This is rare, but I have personally experienced this.

Got it. I hadn't set the transition properly on one of them as well. so that one didn't show up. Forgot that bit. Doh! Re-organising all my 2da's to eliminate future clashes...
