Icon plt problem
« on: August 05, 2011, 12:37:10 am »

               Hi everyone!

I am redoing the Valsharess Armor (from Eldorfin) so that it works on all the PC races.  I got that part done (works flawlessly for all females now).

Unfortunately, the icon is causing me to tear my hair out!

Regardless of what I do, the darned thing retains a white surrounds instead of going transparent!

Grrrr!

I am using the GIMP (with plt plugin) save to PSD, then edit in PS, then using the BW plt plugin to save it to the ipf plt.

I have tried using black - shows up as dark grey surrounds.  I have checked to make sure I am using pure white (255,255,255) - yup.  I have all 10 layers in my .PSD and they are correctly named.  I have tried using the very bottom layer (skin) and the very top layer (Tattoo 2, I believe).

No go.  Still shows up as a white surrounds ingame.

Some help here, please?

Have you tried having the parts you want transparent...transparent?  No texture at all, just empty space?  It ended up working for me back when I did my new cloaks.

Yeah, I did try that after researching the issue with the Omnibus tool.  No luck '<img'>
