placeable request
« on: October 30, 2010, 08:00:20 pm »

I am hoping one of the contributors here would be willing to help me out by building a placeable for me. I have never tried modeling but I would be willing to trade scripting ability for the work if that could help you out.

I am looking for a string of triangular flags that could be draped across a street in the Bioware City Exterior tileset. This could have many uses including parades but it is for my theatre district. I am thinking something along the lines of tibetan prayer flags (see below)

but  anything festive would do.

Here is what I am currently using '<img'>

How about that? (got to make it a bit longer to go from one house to another across the street though)

You can find it here while a proper entry is created on the Vault.

Those flags look very nice.  I could see these used by a lot of module and PW builders.

I think its a rush job....... the colors are unnatural and the flags could use tweaking.Bend them up a little and throw in some detail. Some a little diffent in shape. It is a good idea though. It is a start though.I hate rip on the flags but.............anyways.Maybe drawing a spline by hand then extruding it would be better.

Sorry jez dont mean to be so picky but im just like that.

One generally doesn't look a gifthorse in the mouth.

I like the flags, I think they're a great addition.  Well done!

When i first seen it i thought it was a good idea. But i still think the colors are off and it could use tweaking with the shapes of the flag not all being the same.It may be a good color for a festival but it doenst fit anywhere else for me.

Edit: Gah i hate being a knob in gmax .........well it isnt that easy creating this.
