Help concerning custom PC voice set -fixed-
« on: October 20, 2010, 04:42:24 pm »

Is there anybody willing to give me a simple guide for dummies as to how to replace PC voice sets?
I recently commissioned a voice actor to voice lines for my character. I attempted to create a brand new voice set with some success, but it meant I had to put the .ssf and .2da files in the override and I wasn't entirely sure as to how I could replace the existing voice sets and NOT have them spout incorrect subtitles etc. It all became very alien to me.

My override attempt worked in a way, but strange things would happen. For instance, kobolds in SOU were using my voice set and any companion *not* in the original campaign was completely silent, they'd only remark through dialogue, never responding to such things as "Follow me," and never doing their battlecries, pain cries, death rattles and such.

Edit: The problem was that the earlier soundset.2da from the original content was being used, rather than the soundset.2da from the HOTU expansion.
