Steampunk and Old West enthusiast here?
« on: August 06, 2010, 04:02:11 pm »

I was wondering if there was any here.

There is already the gothic Chandigar"s tileset and placeables, I have some more placeables that would do well in such a setting. And I was wondering if a dedicated hak set would bring a little interest.

Arcanum comes to mind of course, but there's much more to do in that field.

Not an enthusiast but I wouldn't mind seeing such content in a good mod. '<img'>

Yes! There are going to be steampunk and old west themes (mostly inspired by the Dollars film trilogy) in my module.

I wouldn't personally have any use for a hak set, but just seeing more steampunk/western style resources in the community would be cool.

WHOOPEE! Arcanum in NWN -- hot damn! Arcanum was my favorite game before Neverwinter, so I would absolutely love to see some steampunk here. Hmm, I've got Pete's carbolic acid, but where did I put that mind marvel? '<img'>

My big NWN project is actually a victorian/steampunk server.  I'm making some custom content for it, though a lot of it is pretty module-specific.

I'd definitely be interested both in using and making that sort of stuff, though.

What do you mean by "module specific"? you'll keep it to yourself?
Any screenies yet?

I'll probably release some stuff in the coming days/this month.

By module specific, I mean things that are specific to the server's lore, and wouldn't necessarily find mass appeal.  Like custom classes, for example.

There are a bunch of screenshots, but not of unreleased content, only of areas made using existing and widely available stuff.

As for the content... I am going to release the stuff that I think people be able to use and enjoy across the board.  This includes a custom UI and at least one tileset.  Some stuff I'm not going to release and just share with the folks who've helped me on the project as a Thank-You to them.  And some stuff, like said custom classes, just wouldn't make any sense outside of the setting.

Sounds cool Eradrain. Anything particular you'd need, besides Airships?

Argh, sorry for the late reply.  I think I'm pretty set at the moment, actually.  Airships are the big thing that I just can't do without, which I'll have to get serious about making at some point.  Everything else, I seem to be managing pretty well.

As I mentioned in the CC thread, there seems to be a dearth of good-looking weapons, but that's an NWN problem in general.
