Macintosh Version and Kingmaker
« on: October 04, 2013, 09:34:00 am »

I have both Macintosh version of NWN1 (Including 2 Expansions) and NWN Complete for Windows. And I have both Mac OS and WIndows XP installed in the same PC via Bootcamp.

Can I, somehow, copy Kingmaker in Windows partition into Mac OS partition and run it via Macintosh version of NWN1?

Somehow, I am having trouble running NWN1 on my Windows environment. It seems that Installation is done but the main game application does not run (NWN2 runs, weird.). So, I am wondering if I can enjoy Kingmaker on Macintosh environment.

I don't think so. The Windows version of SoU and HoU could be manually added to a mac install. You couldn't use the installer, of course. But the data files were the same for both versions so you could copy them into your mac install straight from the disc.

Kingmaker? I am not sure, but I think Atari obfuscated the data files by compiling them right into the installer (to prevent piracy).

Hmm. So it seems that I have to, somehow, solve the problem and let NWN1 run on my Windows partition...
