               Anyone know where to find a physical copy of this game. I haven't been able to find it on the shelf anymore, and I don't want a digital copy online. I'd like the Diamond edition. Any ideas?

               Well, if I were you, I'd just go straight ahead and get a digital copy from gog.com.  Why?  It's only 10 bucks, and as far as I know with their services, it's DRM free, which means you can back up your game onto a disc as if it were a physical copy.  

The other alternative is, of course, e-bay.

               Yeah, I remember a friend of mine playin it and always talkin bout it. I watched him play some, but I never got it myself. We played some of the pen and paper D&D games a long time ago and have read tons of books. Then, when NWN2 came out, we played a bunch together online, but eventually got fed up with it b/c of performance issues and bugs that kept us from enjoying the game. Then, I got into MMO's, and that's taken away yrs of my life. I kept telling myself I'd like to go back and try this one every time I'd see it, but never seriously did 'til now.

               I picked up another copy from Gog - due to the Kingmaker Premium Mod.  Since one cannot get the Premium Mods anymore, it is the ONLY way to get one now.

I wish I had gotten the others now.  I only have ID and WCoC (and Kingmaker now).  Thankfully, one can get Witches Wake.  Wish I could get PotSC.  Oh well.

               If you get a copy from GoG, ask for a CD-Key for online play.  By default, they give only generic keys.  While the master server is down using generic keys doesn't mean too much - but you would find yourself unable to authenticate if the master server comes back up. Even without the master server up, you'd also have issues with duplicate keys being reported (and being unable to log on) if someone else on the server you want to play on is using the same generic keys.

               I bought 2 copies of NWN Deluxe (european name for platinum edition) on zavvi last week, they still have stock I guess, a shame that there's no master server but, oh well...

Are ID & WCoC being sold in hard copy?  I was under the impression they were only available as Premium modules DL'd through the former Bioware site. 

I have been left in the lurch for PotSC, as well as the other two mentioned.  Many have stated none of those were worth the anxiety of being deprived but I sense it's only because they already had the good fortune and pleasure to procure them and have gone onto sampling CC.  I like to play all the Bioware-built modules I can if for no other reason than to see how they implemented different dynamics.

As for NWN... I bought the original NWN many moons ago, then gave them to my nephews when I bought a brand new copy of Diamond off of Ebay (no plug intended) afew years ago for $7 USD including shipping (using bidder sniping techniques '>).

               IMO you didn't miss much with PotSC. Its an entertaining once through, but not worth playing again. In fact I have little use for any of the Premium mods aside from ID and WCoC.

I like ID because of the variety with the dungeons, though they do get stale after too many run throughs. However, I'd love to be able to duplicate that design.

WCoC is one of the best modules I have ever played - the graphics blew me away the first time I played it. Its a good successor for the OC - better in numerous ways.

Another entertainer for me was Darkness Over Daggerford. Although not the best design it did have some depth to it and I found it refreshing to be away from the Sword Coast.

               I concur - WCoC is awesome-sauce!

I play it with OMB's OHS.  Great stuff!

For those who did not have the chance to get it, Darkness over Daggerford is a great, cheap (free!) and available alternative.  No rideable horses, of course, but still - I really liked and enjoyed DoD, and the overland map was pure genius!
