Reccomend a NWN-like RPG?

               I would love to get NWN2 going, but I bought a new computer about year ago (specifically to run Oblivion, incidentally) and having actually borrowed a copy, I have BOTH problems where my computer will shut down randomly during play and it will CTD once I finish the tutorial mission (the fair).  Considering there are still relatively recent posts on the forums of people who can't fix these problems, I'm reluctant to spend money on something I don't think I can make work.

I downloaded the Drakensang demo and it seems to be very much in line with what I'm looking for.  (Although it does seem a bit slow in places, e.g., why do I have to loot the bodies twice?)
               
               

               
            

[Legacy_Magical Master]

               Ever play Lords of Magic?  It's more controlling an army/kingdom than a single character, but all units can level up, champions can use items, plenty of different stats, etc.  Might be interesting.
