A quick paladin question
« on: February 23, 2011, 04:12:17 pm »

Before I invest the time I would like to ask if anyone knows the answer to a question I have.

I am looking to make a paladin/other and I do not like the whole lawful good thing.

So my question is if I level a paladin up to get all the spells then fall out of alignement can I still use those spells? I know if I fall out of alignment I can't gain paladin levels but not sure about the use of spells.

yes, this is not limited in NWN you can use all of paladin abilities even without lawfull good, and if you are playing SP you can allow yourself to take paladin without LG alignment via 2da modification

It's important to note that most multiplayer worlds DO enforce things like this. For example, Avlis offers a custom Holy Warrior PrC for 8 alignments, and the Paladin base class, and we enforce alignment restrictions for all nine.

Champion is a good alternative for good or neutral PCs that don't necessarily want to be lawful and is allowed on most player worlds as a champion of <insert deity name here>. Combine with cleric for a paladin-esque feel and more spell fun.

Also, if you are playing on pws, realize that alignment changes MAY be restricted, impossible, or challenging!  There was something about the holy sword, immune to crits scare of 2004... possibly caused by a certain avado...  '<img'>  jk
