               Mnk7/PM28/Wiz5 Halfling - Str6-Dex18-Con10-Wis17(32)-Int13-Cha8

Naked AC 53 (includes size, monk AC, PM AC, +8 Tumble, Armor Skin)
capped Dex & Wis w/items,buffs +12
high magic, so figure: +10 robe (armor AC). +10 boots (dodge AC). +10 cloak (deflection AC), +10 ammy (natural AC)
total 53+12+40 = 105 AC
To avoid XP pen, level M-W-M-W-M-W-M-W-M-W-M-PM@12to39-M@40
All ability bumps to Wis. Take 5 Grt Wis feats.

Not included are any Dex-type pre-epic feats like Dodge, Mobility, etc.  6 Epic PM feats as you like.

Unfortunately, won't hit the broad side of a barn, but few except perhaps AA's will touch this.  Maybe Zen Archery is an option for this puppy.  Or switch the Wis bumps to Dex ones, go finesse and eat the lost Dex AC when flanked. That is your call.

Well... just based on feats and skills, I'd reckon you could max out as follows...

An Elf, to pick up higher starting Dex.

Feats
Dodge +1 AC
Iron Skin +2 AC - Epic

Skills
Tumble 40 +8 AC

Monk lvl 40  +8 AC

Dex 32  +11 AC
20 to start +10 from lvl advancement +2 from Epic Dex feats

Wis 16 +3 AC

I prefer the Dex to Wis bonus as you pick up reflex saves and improve all you dex related skills.

That would give you a +33 AC or a total of  AC 43 by my math.

Magical items/spells with deflection, AC, and dodge bonuses could all up this, as could further buffs to Dex.

I'm not much of an epic level gamer, so I certainly could've missed something '<img'>

That works in pvm, but not in pvp where you get knockdown and you are dead. Its also vulnerable to spells. Also, in pvp you can't do anything to others which makes this build useless. Generaly the AC tank idea in PvP is bull****.

The same with highest anything. Forget about it. You must have both defensive and offensive abilities, otherwise you will be just a kill giver.

I tend to agree with the problematic nature of single-issue builds. But, the question was very specific. If someone wants advice on how to get the highest AC with a monk and they downplay the need to account for other considerations, then I say there is some value in exploring that topic and letting the chips fall where they may.

And, of course, we come back to the issue that the specification of a high magic world really renders many of these other concerns very arguable. The availability of particular magic really does alter what builds can be viable in a particular setting. E.g., how many skill points does a monk put into Discipline if every rain barrel has a pair of Dragon Slippers?

However, the OP doesn't really say if the goal is a multiclass build or a "pure" build. There are a few PW's that contrive an excuse to restrict multiclassed monks in a way that would nerf the above M/PM/W build.

Yea sure, your build was the first that came into my mind as well. My response was for OP.

You could get an AC from being a hobbit for small stature, but that really stinks as it destroys your

AB.  I usually go with a more balanced WIS and DEX since the bonus to AC for wisdom will not be affected by things that trash your dexterity, and vice versa.

Depends on how you define "Monk Build"?

Was always a fan of druid/monk/shifter personally.
With just a +5 AC on the chest slot and neck slot (so +10 total), the AC in Dragon Form is 80+ when using Improved expertise.

Probably not what you're looking for, but thought I'd mention it anyways.
