Polymorph Self
« on: November 14, 2010, 03:50:10 am »

I'm having an issue with spells like Polymorh Self and Shadow Conjuration. The spell description says that they have multiple modes but when I drag to my spell bar only one comes up. Other items I can right click on the task bar to choose another mode (say or the blessing scabbard) but not with either of these spells.

Anyone have any advice?

All the multimode spells have a default mode, usually the first one in the list and when you drag the spell, this default will always be "auto-selected".

You will need to R-click on one of the empty quick slots and use the radial to select "Assign spell" for the class (if you have more than 1 casting class you will need to find the one with Polymorph or ShadConj).  Then just navigate to the appropriate spell level, spell and then mode.  All multimode spells are handled the same way AFAIK.

Spells on items are handled in a completely different manner.  Using one of the listed spells doesn't "use up" any of the others.

Enjoy, mate!

Putting sub-radial menu selections from the actual spells into quickslots should work fine. If you are talking about putting spell scrolls into the quickslots, then I don't know you can put the sub-radial menu selections from scrolls. You may have to drop the scroll onto the quickslot and then right-click on the slot to use it, choosing the sub-radial item at that time. If you just (left-)click on the slot, it will use a default sub-radial item (I think Giant Spider for Polymorph Self and Summon Shadow for Shadow Conjuration), which may not be the one you want.

[EDIT] Um, like he just said. :-)
