It does seem like there are fewer responses by the day.  Maybe we can take that as a sign that people are modding so much that they don't have time to check the forums?  Maybe we're not saying anything interesting?

Between RL issues and ironing out some bugs in some on the fly conversation selection code. I know I'm a bit of a rare bird. Here's to hoping that it's just because there are some great modules in the pipe out there!

I think for the most part the poor usability of these forums contributed to people leaving.
I used to search old forums every few days for posts with "NWNX", etc. Since there is no full-text search here, I can't do that anymore.
And the small gray text on gray background is barely readable compared to the old forums.
That's the 2 reasons why I stopped visiting these forums.

This forum is dead compared to the old one.

Probably didn't help that people only got one week notice of the change.

Yet from the ashes, some of the most magnificent creations can come forth. Look at volcanic soil, or if your more into the mythical... the phoenix.

Hmmm, maybe people just need to post up things others would be more interested in reading? For instance, I have no idea what all that garbawldi-****** ffbj said means... maybe someone can explain?

ffbj's post contains NWScript code.  What that one appears to be is for an item that, when activated, announces to all other players currently online in a PW or multi-player module that the activator is "de-lurking" (making themselves known to the other players).   The text would actually appear over every other player character's head for a few moments (and in the combat log window).

Many of us prefer reading over posting.  Many of us play NWN as often as life permits.  Many of us use different log-in names.  For many of us, there are many (other) reasons that are to be taken in account.

All above being said, I am sure that over years, not only during change of forums, many folks have moved on.  Still, I am quite happy with how many have stayed and how many spell-hurlers/sword-hackers/godly-followers/tree-hugers/wanna-be-adventures joined our community.  For truth and beauty lies in the fact that door is wide open to everyone - old and new.

Love to play this game and love to be part of this crowd.

What?!?  The fool honestly misses your argument and, for lack of a better phrase, misses your general sense of bad smell and odorous malefaction.   The least you can do is say, "Drewskie, I too, have pined for the ungodly reek of your maladorous putrefaction, and you complete me."  Come now, be a good neighbor.  Extend some cheer, Kail.  Life is too short for such hastiness and harsh words. <3>

<Bowing in deference to the BioBoard dignitaries>

Greetings, good Kail! 'Tis a joy to hear from the font of Neverwinter wisdom again.

Hail, mighty Dwarflord! It gladdens me to see your wit is ever as sharp as a fine waraxe.

Long life to each of you, and a pint of ale, as well. Barkeep, pints all around! We'll make a party of this, yet. 'B)'

Even a cameo between Kail and Griz is worth it to me (or should that be an Oreo with Drewskie in the middle?).  Non-ending roasting... ah them's were the dazed.

Quick someone!  Dip it in the lanquer before it fades!
