NWN still the ONLY game out there with DM client!!!

               Just wanted to say I think NWN is the ONLY large multiplayer game out there where you can ENTER THE SERVER as an ADMIN and have lots of powers to change the environment and make it spooky for your players!!

You are effectively the AI DIRECTOR in Left 4 Dead! 
I believe no other PvP game (HL2, Halo, Team Fortresses, CS, Quake, Unreal etc etc) let's you do this!

For this single reason, NWN 1 will forever be LEAGUES AHEAD of all those other games for me.
How about you? Have you tried out the DM Client and its full powers?

(i love how as a DM you can spawn and control your creatures like an RTS lol)

               Yup, that and the ability to run a private server, and the toolset of course.  I would love to see a similar game with better graphics, sound, and better ability to change engine mechanics.  But, I doubt it will ever happen.  So it's NWN1 until then.

               Personally it is not just for the DM client that I love NWN. Actually the DM client is just a minor part of it. It is more the whole game actually...

You can put that at the top of my wish list too!  NO freaking doubt..

NWN1 will always remain special & a close friend to me, for I've met a lot of cool people online, and that alone, outside of everything else that is great about NWN, is awesome enough for me..  '>

               i just remembered that there is one other game that has a DM Client - they very respectable Vampire Masquerade! The DM Client is very basic and not as powerful as NWN's by any means, but it is there and you can also summon and control creatures (just not in as detailed a fashion). I recall that I even tried it out! I liked V:TM because it really worked with an outre genre.



One other new game in development has a DM Client called Zombie Master.



But neither of the above are as sophisitcated or as polished in their DM Clients (and probably overall game) as NWN.

               NWN has the toolset & many community members working on content for the game, which adds much depth to what NWN has to offer.

NWN has many different styles of gameplay, though it's an RPG game, it can be other types of games within the core game itself.

Those two factors are serious advantages over many other linear games.
(Linear games being those that lack depth / don't have multiple settings or worlds / or lack a lot of options character wise)
It's indicative to riding a carnival ride over and over again, eventually you just get sick of it..

First Person Shooter games get old after a month or two, especially when you start walking into servers with hackers on it, head shot your dead (time and time again).

Then of course there are those nefarious Pay to play game, where NWN is free, can't beat that!  '>
