Cannot find friends server online

               I am not sure if my friend and I are doing things right or not.  We are trying to play together online and he went to start a new internet game and made a server, but I cannot find it in the server list.  I even tried direct connect but it wouldn't work.  Could it be by chance a routing issue?  I am pretty new to the online system of nwn so I don't even know if we are setting things up right in the first place.

               Hello, bludfystilndman. The one thing I can recommend is to make sure you have port forwarding handled properly. A simple way to do this is to visit the Port Forward NWN Guide. Click the link for your make and model of router and follow their instructions. Good luck.

               Some ISPs are also restricting ports. This means you can do everything right and your server still won't display. You may need to bridge your cable/dsl "modem" (I put quotes on that word because DSL boxes with these port filters are really more like a router). Their support people can usually talk you through it on the phone.
