Missing dialogue?

I don't know if its normal or not, but I think some characters in the game are missing some of their voiceacting. I'm playnig the GOG version and I allredy updated it to 1.69. In the main campaign only the core characters have full voceacting. All the othres only speak the first lines and remain silent for the rest of the conversation. The students  in "Shadows of Undretide" speak their first lines and remain silent for some time and start talking later. I don't know if it's supposed to be like this but it feals strange. Is there a way to fix it?

Vanilla 1.69, no other modifications? Namely anything that modifies dialog.tlk -> community patch, nwn enhanced, 3.5 editions, ems or some custom PW dialog.tlk  or some unofficial translation?

It is supposed to be that way. Neverwinter Nights is an old game. Back then, voice acting all the dialog would have made the game way too big. This has acted to the game's advantage, making it easier to make custom modules with the dialog only in text. I have the GOG Diamont version. Then I instaled the 1.69 pacth for a link you posted earlier on the topic abbout missing voices in charatcercreation. Tahts all I did with the game.

Damn, I hoped there is a way to make it work. I realy enjoy the vocie acting. Well, it's still a grate game. No reason to like it less for something like this. Thanks for the info.
